PATH Clothing Drive Volunteers Needed

The PATH Clothing Drive runs from January 22 – January 26, 2018 and it’s a great annual initiative run by The Yonge Street Mission.

The Yonge Street Mission is asking for volunteers to run their donation tables. Shifts are 2-3 hours in length and are located through the PATH.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

-Be present at table during shift: be pleasant + keep a watchful eye
-Receive donations – thank every donor
-Hand out bags and prize entry info cards to donors
-Ensure donations are stored neatly and safely
-Answer questions, be courteous
-Keep table tidy
-Share YSM information, provided at table, with donors
-Ask donors to double-check bags for items they do not wish to donate

Shifts options are: 7:30am to 9:30am,  9:30am to 12:30pm, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
You can volunteer for one or more shifts – it’s up to you!

Where do the donations go?

All donations support The Yonge Street Mission’s (YSM) Double Take Store. Double Take is an employment initiative of YSM where gently used, high quality clothing, furniture and housewares can be purchased by our community at affordable prices. All profit goes to YSM programs and initiatives. We also provide employment and training for our community members who have obstacles to regular employment. Double Take also provides an avenue for YSM clients to shop with dignity and choose clothing and other needs through Gift Certificates given out in YSM programs.
