Beginning Monday, April 17, 2017 through to January 2018, the east-bound off-ramps from the Gardiner Expressway to York-Bay-Yonge Streets will be closed due to the construction work.
The City of Toronto is constructing a new off-ramp from the Gardiner Expressway to Lower Simcoe Street and making improvements to Harbour Street, between Lower Simcoe and Bay Streets.
Traffic management information:
- EB off-ramps into the Downtown Core will be available at Jameson Avenue, Spadina Avenue and Jarvis Street.
- EB off-ramp at Spadina will be adjusted to allow for movement onto EB Lake Shore Boulevard. The NB turn at Spadina will remain.
- Rees Street on-ramp will be closed Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to allow demolition to take place during the day.
- EB Harbour Street between Lower Simcoe to Bay Street will be reduced to 2 lanes.
Efforts have been made to manage traffic in the area for the safety of workers, road users and residents. Road users should expect delays and increased traffic on nearby main and side streets.
