The City of Toronto announced today the economic impact of Nuit Blanche Toronto 2015, Toronto’s free annual all-night celebration of contemporary art. In addition, preliminary details for next year’s curators were revealed and organizers extended an invitation for artist submissions.
Based on the findings of an Ipsos Reid survey, Nuit Blanche Toronto 2015 generated an economic impact of about $41.5 million for Toronto. The popular event held on October 3 attracted both local and out-of-town audiences, with an estimated attendance of over one million people, including 205,000 out-of-town visitors.
